Please use the link below to request access to the LabArchives Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN). This applies both to adding new members to existing ELN labs and to labs adopting the ELN for the first time.

Please note that each individual must submit their own access request, as it is tied to their unique Netbadge account and credentials.

All UVA faculty, students, and staff with a valid UVA email address may create a LabArchives account. In accordance with UVA policy, notebook ownership is assigned to the Principal Investigator (PI) of the lab or project, or to a faculty member. All other accounts are provisioned with “user” status.

All institutional policies governing paper notebooks and research data at UVA also apply to ELNs. All data entered into LabArchives remains the sole and exclusive property of UVA.
